Piešťany Airport is a small regional airport in north-west part of Slovakia and is the gateway to the bath city Piešťany. The region is also home to a number of international companies such as the car manufacturing plant PSA Peugeot Citroen. The region offers unspoilt beauty also to the general public with wineries, medieval cellars and historical buildings such as the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Trnava.
The airport is used for the air transport of Slovak and foreign companies, flights of private aeroplanes, flight training and sport flying, air ambulance flights and special flight works. The airport is also used for charter flights for a local tour operator in the summer months.
